This is my first year at North Salem as the Middle/High School Physical Education Teacher, JV Girl's soccer, Modified Girl's basketball, and Modified Girl's Lacrosse Coach.
I grew up in the Somers Central School district and attended Somers High School. I then attended Hofstra University where I played division 1 field hockey and soccer. There, I received my bachelors and masters degree in health and physical education. It is my pleasure to be at North Salem and will continue to develop and learn from my students and professional development conferences. I previously taught and coached at Rye Neck Middle/High School.
Education is a lifestyle. It is an everyday occurrence and people are constantly learning new things. As a health and physical educator, it is important to promote and live a healthy, active lifestyle. It is my duty to assist my students to understand the benefits of leading an active lifestyle and how it can improve their quality of living. I want all of my students to be life-long movers and in order for this to occur, students need the basic skills to participate in all different types of activities, especially lifetime activities.
